As we move into the last few weeks of school, I wanted to keep you updated on what to expect. Dr. Foote and Ms. Culberson's Co-Taught Classes (1st, 5th, & 6th Periods): This week we are continuing to write, edit, and publish our argumentative essays. Week of 11/27/17:  Monday: We practiced how to use proper capitalization and punctuation in our writing through Quizizz competitions. If students have not finished their rough drafts of their essays, they are to do so tonight in order to prepare for tomorrow's class (they have had 4 days to write already). Writer's Workshop Weeks

November 6th, 2017- November 16th, 2017 Ms. Cassidy Culberson's Class Blog Elkins Pointe Middle School 6th Grade ELA culbersoncj@fultonschools.org Dear Parents and Guardians, I wanted to start updating you more frequently on what is going on in our classroom. You can return to this blog to see what your students are accomplishing in my 6th grade English Language Arts classes. What are we doing now? The students just completed their unit common assessment on Thursday, November 2nd. Today, we began our "Writer's Workshop Weeks" that we will continue until Thanksgiving break. During this time, the students will be focusing on how to become better writers using correct conventions. As a result, we will be reviewing capitalization, punctuation, transition words, verb tense, subject and verb agreement, and components of well-written paragraph.
